A new leak that allegedly revealed the Steam summer sale date has pegged it at starting on June 25, though of course Valve hasn’t given out any information on whether or not it’s true. Regardless of how it goes, however, you can likely expect a huge amount of savings around that time.
The Steam Summer Sale, much like the various other sales that Steam has throughout the year, gives Steam users the ability to buy way more games than normal with huge discounts not only on some of the service’s most popular games, but many others besides it.
According to the Steam Summer Sale date leak, the sale will begin on June 25 at 10 A.M. Pacific Time, so if you’ve been craving to buy games on your Steam wishlist but haven’t been willing to shell out the full price, the sale will be a great time to do it.
Whether you pick one of the more popular consistently-discounted games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim or one of many popular RPGs, or a less-well-known but still-discounted game like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, or Paradox games like Crusader Kings 2, you’ll have a huge variety of games to choose from.
The sale will also last two weeks, so if you don’t have the money to participate even in buying heavily discounted games right now, you’ll have plenty of time to save up some money to get involved in it, unless you already have every game you want.
However, you should also be waruy of spreading yourself too thin; since summer is just around the corner, many other gaming companies like Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo may have their own summer sales, so you might have to spread your money around to get everything you might want.
Either way, you should probably start saving up money now if there’s anything on Steam that you want. Once again, the Steam Summer Sale date is June 25.
