Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Gameplay Gives Spider-Gwen A Chance To Shine

If you’re one of the many Marvel fans that fell in love with Spider-Gwen in Into The Spiderverse, we’ve got some good news for you. Newly released Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 gameplay focuses around her, giving us a chance to see her in action and how her style is different from Peter’s.

Spide-Gwen comes from an alternate reality where she fell victim to the same spider that originally gives Peter Parker his powers. However, desperate to also have superpowers like her, Peter ends up becoming the Lizard instead, and dies in a brutal fight with Gwen.

Grief-stricken, Gwen continues to be her universe’s Spiderman, but now finds herself drawn into the story of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. With increased strength, speed, web-slinging abilities, and her Spider-Sense, Gwen is a force to be reckoned with, as we see in the video.

Her moves include everything from webbing up opponents and making web constructs like a massive web wrecking ball, to a straight-up teleportation attack that you can use to get the drop on a distant cluster of enemies.

The moves all have a good bit of humor to them as well, with names like “Swing Time”, “Legit Beatdown” (the wrecking ball move), “Catchy Attack Name” (to web up enemies), and “Disappearing Act” (the teleportation move).

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 gameplay video also shows off a number of other heroes that we’re going to be able to play as in the game, which includes Kamala Khan (the new Captain Marvel after Carol Danvers), Miles Morales, another Spider-Man from an alternate dimension, Wolverine, Daredevil, and more.

The game should hopefully be able to scratch that Marvel itch if you’re still high off of Avengers: Endgame, since it’s a huge force of Marvel heroes once again taking on Thanos-related threats.
