How To Get Ready for The Division 2 Operation Dark Hours Raid

The Division 2's Operation Dark Hours raid opens tomorrow, so we have some tips on ways that you can power yourself up to take it on.

One of the newest bits of gameplay that Ubisoft revealed for The Division 2 was the beginning of the Operation Dark Hours raid, the first piece of endgame content put up for the game and players that have gotten strong enough to attempt it. Here’s how you can get ready too.

To start, you’ll need to be strong enough to attempt the Operation Dark Hours raid at all. Since it’s endgame content, you can’t go in half-cocked. There are multiple ways to grind out loot and experience to get stronger, involving both the Dark Zone and more conventional methods.

First off, you’ll have to grind the Dark Zone. Since that area contains a lot of powerful loot, going in there and getting as much of it as you can to be decontaminated and sent back to you will help a lot in the long run.

Secondly, you’ll have to raise hell around the various control points scattered around the map. As you and your friends complete events around these control points, they’ll gradually get more and more difficult. The more difficult the point’s events are, the better gear that you’ll get on completing them. However, don’t go above Level 4, or you’ll start getting diminishing returns.

Great loot can also be found by going through bounty chains. Picking up and clearing all of the bounties in a region will net you a Boss Bounty, causing you to have to go on a quest to kill a powerful boss. However, completing that bounty will also net you some good loot for your efforts.

An Exotic weapon will also help immensely, especially since they often have special abilities that normal, lower-tier weapons end up not having. So, if you have an Exotic weapon already, great! If you don’t, you might want to hurry up and try to find one.

Loadouts are probably the most basic, yet most important part of dealing with the Operation Dark Hours raid. Specialize your loadouts to take on certain roles to make various fights easier and work towards enemy weaknesses, and you’ll have no problems.

The Operation Dark Hours raid will be coming to The Division 2 tomorrow on May 16, so if you’ve been getting ready for it since its announcement, all of your hard work is about to pay off. While you don’t have to complete it right away, just make sure you’re prepared. You can currently play The Division 2 on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
