Gears Of War 5 Box Art And Possible Release Date Revealed In New Leak

Gears of War 5 box art has apparently been leaked alongside a possible release date, but nothing is actually confirmed just yet.

A new leak might have just given us an idea of what the Gears of War 5 box art will be, along with the possibility of a release date. While we don’t know if that leak will be right, the box art appears to be legitimate until we actually see it.

Gears 5 is the second entry from developer The Coalition in the renewed trilogy of Microsoft’s groundbreaking third-person cover shooter, after Gears of War 4 proved to be a success. The game, rather than focusing on JD Fenix this time around, will instead revolve around a squadmate, Kait.

Kait’s family has a history with the Locust and the game’s threat, the emerging Swarm, and so Gears 5’s plot will focus around her trying to find her mother while uncovering her family’s true origins.

The Gears of War 5 box art leak features a number of characters both old and new on a snowy background, likely referring to the new winter setting. Along with players from the previous game like Kait, JD, Del, Marcus Fenix, the Locust Queen, and what appears to be a new enemy in the Swarm.

However, the possible Gears of War 5 release date is also something that might have gotten leaked in this circumstance. If the leak is correct, the game will be released by The Coalition and Microsoft on September 10 of this year, though we don’t have official confirmation yet.

Considering E3 is less than a month away, we may very likely see Gears of War 5 at the Microsoft conference, which would be the best time to give us a release date along with officially unveiling the Gears of War 5 box art.

Considering how well Gears of War 4 was received, hopefully, Gears of War 5 will turn out to be even better, especially with a new protagonist in the spotlight. Hopefully, the Gears of War 5 box art leak will also turn out to be true.

While we don’t know if the game will come out on September 10, we do know it’ll be coming to the Xbox One and PC.
