EA Changes Its Plans For E3 2019, One Day for Press Conferences

Fans have been expecting a lot of games from EA at E3 2019. EA announced earlier this year that it will be skipping the traditional press conference and instead will go for EA Play on June 8th and 9th—a whole weekend full of in-depth live streams covering all the new games from the company. But now it seems EA has suddenly changed those dates by doing holding EA Play on one single day instead of two. EA Play will now take place on Saturday, June 8th at E3 2019.

Of course, EA Play will still run on both days for those who are attending E3 2019 in person next month, but the live stream for at-home audiences will only take place on Saturday.

Along with the launch of E3 2019 sales tickets, EA made an announcement on their website and said:

We also want to share a quick update on the timing of EA PLAY live streams.  We’ve decided to pull all of our live streams into Saturday, June 8, so fans will have a full slate of streams that will take you inside the games and new content, all on one day.  The previously planned Friday event will now kickoff our Saturday activities.

According to EA, changing EA Play’s dates will allow content creators to hold their own live streams on the second day to talk about EA’s newly revealed games at E3 2019.

In addition, hundreds of content creators will be onsite at EA PLAY and streaming live from the Creator’s Cave throughout the weekend. We’ll share more details on our full live stream schedule soon, including all the places you can watch.

EA is expected to showcase a lot of its upcoming games such as Battlefield V, Battlefield Bad Compay 3, FIFA 20, NFL 20, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. EA is also expected to share more news regarding its hit Battle Royale game, Apex Legends, likely to be Apex Legends Mobile. According to EA, we will “see less talk and more play” at this year’s EA PLAY. So that’s something to look forward to.

EA is set to host EA PLAY on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at E3. You can get your free EA PLAY ticket by visiting this page or downloading the EA PLAY App from the Apple iOS store and Google Play store.
