Rage 2 System Requirements Revealed, Here’s What You Need To Run The Game

Ever since Bethesda revealed Rage 2 almost a year ago, PC players have been wondering what the system requirements will be in order to run the game smoothly on PCs. In a FAQ styled answer posted on Bethesda’s Support website, Bethesda revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements needed to play Rage 2.

If you want to run Rage 2 smoothly without any stuttering or drops in FPS, Bethesda Softworks recommends that you have an Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB graphics card.

If you’re on a budget and you still want to play Rage 2 then Bethesda says you should at least have an Intel Core i5-3570 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or an AMD R9 280 3GB.

In both instances, you must have a 50 GB worth of storage space available on your hard drive. Since Bethesda is pushing for a relatively bigger world in Rage 2 as compared to the original the game requires a massive amount of disk space.

Another thing to note is that Rage 2 is an always-online game but it won’t require a constant internet connection. According to Bethesda, players will only need a live connection to access live events and extra activities in the open world. Players will still be able to play the base game without being connected to the internet.

For those who want to go into detail, the full system requirements to run Bethesda’s Rage 2 is as follows:

Rage 2 Minimum System Requirements:

  • A 64-bit processor and operating system is required
  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit versions)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or AMD R9 280 3GB
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

Rage 2 Recommended System Requirements:

  • A 64-bit processor and operating system is required
  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit versions)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

Although Bethesda hasn’t provided the exact graphics settings and FPS these system specs will manage to provide, the logical assumption would be that players can run Rage 2 at 1920×1080 resolution on High at a decent 30 to 60 FPS with these specs.

The game is set to release May 14, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Preorders for Rage 2 are open and will come with cheat codes as a bonus.
