Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt Glitch Allows You To Unlock Rare Gear For Free

NetheRealm Studios have left this Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt glitch unattended and people are taking advantage of it in the absolute masses.

So if you’re struggling with the grind of Mortal Kombat 11 and those expensive trips to the Krypt, this glitch is for you. Just to emphasize, this is, in fact, a glitch and not a hack. This means NetherRealm Studios can’t ban anybody from using it since it’s simply an exploit of a game bug.

Anyways, the trick involves the area in the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt where you see the faces of several different characters. You can find that area in our guide here.

Anyways, unlock the shortcut that connects the place with the main courtyard where you spawn it. After that, exit the Krypt to the menu again.

Once you’re there, go to where you find the Krypt access option (in the menu after selecting conquer). Here’s the important part:

The button you use to select options in game (A for Xbox, X for PlayStation) use it to select Krypt BUT hold onto it. You need to keep the button held as you enter the Krypt and not let go at all.

While keeping it held, navigate the courtyard and through the newly opened shortcut to where you see the faces. Select the character you want to unlock for and then approach their face. If you kept the button held, you should be able to unlock the character’s rare items.

After you do so, you just need to head back to the main menu and repeat the process. Easy right? I’d suggest you do so quickly since NetherRealm Studios may patch it soon. The glitch has garnered enough attention around the web by now.

The gear you’re unlocking for your characters would normally cost a good bit of hearts, one of the more expensive currencies to come across.

Although we are kind of doing NetherRealm Studios dirty especially after their recent patch, it’s just cosmetics anyways. These unlocks don’t break the game itself in any way. You need to be quick though as NetherRealm will be fixing this Krypt glitch soon via a new patch.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
