Days Gone developer Sony Bend rolled out update 1.06 that caused the game to crash PS4. Now, developers have rolled out Days Gone update version 1.07 that fixes the critical audio bug and crashes.
Since launch, Days Gone has been facing an audio glitch that causes the game to drop all audio for the environment even for the bike. With Days Gone update version 1.07 the glitch has been fixed.
- Audio should no longer be cut out/dropped when it involves equipping certain engines and certain exhausts to your bike
While the devs didn’t mention it in the official patch notes but, players are reporting that following Days Gone update 1.07 the game isn’t crashing and PS4 Pro isn’t overheating anymore. This means the devs have fixed two major problems with Days Gone 1.07 update.
The studio has also apologized for these issues and glitches and has assured that they will continue to optimize the game and fixing major bugs and glitches.
We apologize for any inconvenience you guys may have experienced and thank you for your understanding. Our focus will still be on better optimizing the game along with addressing any major bugs.
Days Gone didn’t particularly get any positive reception as the game got mixed reviews. But in terms of sales, Days Gone physical sales have surpassed Resident Evil 2 remake and the Division 2.
Furthermore, Days Gone is the biggest Physical launch of 2019 so far in the UK. But compared to other PS4 exclusives, Days Gone has fallen short. Compared to God Of War PS4, Days Gone launch sales are 27% lower and despite that, the game is selling well.
These Days Gone patches and updates aren’t the only support the game will be getting. Devs have announced that the game will receive free DLC in June.
However, don’t expect the DLC to add or expand the story as the DLC will only bring new challenges and a new difficulty mode to keep players engaged.
The new difficulty level will be Survival difficulty that will not only make players face dangerous enemies but players will also be unable to use fast travel and Survival Vision.
As for the challenges, Days Gone DLC will bring three of them Bike, Horde, and Combat. Completing these challenges will reward you in-game items but there isn’t any concrete release date for this Days Gone DLC.
Days Gone is an open-world survival game developed by Sony Bend Studio exclusively for PlayStation 4.
