Halo The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC and beta was supposed to start this month. Now, 343 Industries has announced that the Halo The Master Chief Collection beta has been delayed due to some complexities.
343i’s Brian Jarrad took to Twitter and announced that Halo The Master Chief Collection beta was supposed to start this month but has been delayed.
He didn’t reveal when the Halo MCC beta will start and why exactly it’s been delayed but added that more information will be shared soon.
Well this tweet didn’t age well. Hey, this project is complex, and being transparent means sometimes things change vs. what we originally hoped. Work continues but the first public flights are pushing out further than originally targeted. Will share more info soon! https://t.co/aSCB37ZxD2

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the collection of Halo titles including the original trilogy, Halo Reach, and Halo 4. The collection was first released as an Xbox exclusive but was plagued with matchmaking issues.
Developer 343 Industries is taking its time to fix these issues and is also working to bring Halo MCC to PC through Steam. Also, the collection won’t launch at once as the studio will launch one game at a time.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection isn’t the only Halo game in development as 343 Industries is also developing Halo Infinite, a direct sequel to Halo 5 that aims to fix a lot of things that were wrong with Halo 5.
Not only that, Halo Infinite will also bring a lot of fan-favorite features back that were missing in Halo 5. The devs have confirmed 4-player split-screen co-op for the game. OG fans of the Halo franchise know that split-screen co-op is one of the defining pillars of Halo.
As for the single-player campaign, the studio has revealed that Halo Infinite’s campaign is centered around hope. The studio acknowledged that both Halo 4 and Halo 5 were centered around Fear and that will change with the sequel.
Instead of starting around fear like with Halo 4 and Halo 5, we really wanted to focus Infinite’s campaign around hope. We really wanted to have more hope, more mystery, more wonder, more agency, more heroism, and more symbolism in the trailer. We really wanted to focus on that feeling of being able to have a living world at your fingertips and to get back to what Halo 1 espoused.
Halo fans weren’t happy with Halo 5 focusing on Agent Locke instead of Master Chief. This is another thing the studio aims to fix with Halo Infinite as the game will focus on Master Chief.
Microsoft only revealed a small trailer for Halo Infinite at E3 2018. The trailer didn’t reveal much except that the game will be set on a Halo Ring.
Shortly after the reveal, some fans managed to identify the Halo Ring. Fans have discovered that Halo Infinite will be set on Halo Zeta.
Halo Infinite is a first-person action shooter in development at 343 Industries. No release date has been announced for the game.
