Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Is Being Led By A Team With A “Solid Vision”

Fans have hopes for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order as it’s a single-player only game and features no multiplayer and predatory microtransactions. However, some are still skeptical due to EA being a publisher but the developer has assured that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is being led with “solid vision”.

This is according to Chris Avellone, a renowned writer and designer, who noted that project director Stig Asmussen has a vision for Jedi Fallen Order and most importantly, he knows how to convey that vision to his team.

So the project director is Stig Asmussen from God of War 3, I’d never met Stig or worked with him before, but he has a really solid vision and even better, he’s able to communicate it. So he set a really good path for the project.

He added that Aaron Contreras, who also worked on Mafia 3, is the lead narrative designer on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and working with both Contreras and Asmussen is a great opportunity.

Furthermore, Avellone noted that Lucasfilm was very helpful with the project and was very open about why and what changes they wanted in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

Lucasfilm was really great with Fallen Order. They had really good notes and reasons why they wanted changes. And the reasons why is important, because when you hear that, suddenly that answers a bunch of future questions down the road, we’re like; “Okay, well, we shouldn’t do that at all, because they’ve already indicated the reasons why that’s the case.”

Being a single-player only game, many fans are worried that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will be a relatively small experience. But, the devs have confirmed that Jedi Fallen Order won’t be a five-hour experience.

In terms of timeframe, it’s not going to be a short game. I’ve read some stuff. Comments like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be a five-hour game,’ after Vince [Zampella] announced that we’re going to be single-player only, and no microtransactions, and that kind of stuff. It’s going to be a quality experience, said Asmussen.

Jedi Fallen Order takes place after events of Revenge of the Sith when Emperor orders to execute “Order 66” which is to kill all of the Jedi. The game will be a galaxy-spanning adventure.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is a third-person action game in development at Respawn Entertainment. The game is scheduled to launch on November 15, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
