Days Gone Update 1.05 Fixes Most Bugs But Only Provides Workaround For Critical Audio Glitch

Days Gone has launched with a mixed reception, partly due to its bugs and some technical issues. Developer Sony Bend is determined to fix these issues and have rolled out Days Gone update version 1.05 that fixes most of the bugs and issues.

The Days Gone Update version 1.05 brings fixes for crashes, reduces stuttering and lag, improves FPS, and more. Here are the patch notes for update 1.05.

  • Added fixes for crashing issues with Days Gone version 1.05.
  • Added stuttering and lag fixes.
  • Days Gone 1.05 improved framerate drop issues.
  • Various performance and stability improvements.
  • Added fixes for glitches with Days Gone 1.05.
  • Added minor bug fixes and changes.

While the Days Gone Update version 1.05 fixes various issues but, there are still glitches that remain unfixed. The audio glitch reported by a number of players and critics still persists in Days Gone.

The glitch in question disables all of the environmental sounds which in turn breaks the game as players can’t hear Freakers. I hope this Days Gone audio glitch is fixed in the upcoming patch.

But, the developers have acknowledged the issue and have provided a workaround to this audio glitch until they resolve the issue.

Audio dropping out/muted. If you are experiencing this, equip the default exhaust to your bike. We are looking into a resolution for this issue.

On the bright side, players are reporting faster loading times following the update 1.05.

Also, the developers aren’t done yet with Days Gone and will support the game with DLC. The game will receive a free DLC in June, however, it won’t add or expand the story and will only bring a new difficulty level and a number of challenges to keep players engaged.

The DLC will bring Survival difficulty to Days Gone. With this difficulty level, players will not only face dangerous enemies but will also be unable to use fast travel and Survival Vision.

The DLC will bring three types on challenges Bike, Horde, and Combat and completing these Days Gone challenges will net you in-game rewards. However, there isn’t any concrete release date for Days Gone DLC yet.

Days Gone is an open-world adventure game developed by Sony Bend exclusively for PlayStation 4.
