Mortal Kombat 11 has been off to a slightly bumpy start as of late. When a game as big as MK 11 releases on PC as one of its platforms, you know that there will be mods. That’s exactly the case with this Mortal Kombat 11 mod that makes three unplayable characters playable with their full movesets in game.
Here’s the mod showcased in action:
We have already covered in the past how Kronika probably won’t be playable in Mortal Kombat 11. This is the case with many Mortal Kombat games, since the characters that serve as final bosses cannot function as playable characters.
This is due to their movesets, buffs and other abilities being a bit too overpowered. Such was the case with Shao Khan in previous games and even Shinnok’s corrupted form in Mortal Kombat X. Kronika is no different in MK 11.
As for Cyrax and Sektor, they serve the same purpose as Rain and Baraka in Mortal Kombat X. They serve as plot to the game’s story. This means that while they have in-game models and fully functioning movesets, they aren’t playable.
That’s why these mods exist for, though. People have given MK x the same treatment by modding in Rain, Baraka, and Sindel as playable. Now another valiant member of the modding community has done us the same justice in Mortal Kombat 11.
Kronika is obviously a bit overpowered, but now if you’d like to vent out your frustration and test out fatalities on her, you can.
The cyborg duo on the other hand, play exactly as any other character would, so that’s great news. Still, I wouldn’t suggest jumping into Online with unplayable characters since a Mortal Kombat 11 mod will probably get you banned.
At least fans are coming through where NetheRealm Studios is sort of coming short. Either way, the uploader of the mod has put up instructions as to how it works as well.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
