The latest installment in NetherRealm Studios’ hit fighting series, Mortal Kombat 11, is out now. Players are already searching for quick and easy ways to progress through the game and unlock character skins in Mortal Kombat 11. It seems one QA Analyst at Netherrealm has a massive tip to quickly unlock skins using character tutorials.
Earlier this month, NetherRealm Producer Shaun Himmerick revealed in a “Kombat Kast” how the in-game currency, called “Time crystals”, can help players unlock character skins and other cosmetic items in Mortal Kombat 11. Time Crystals can be earned in the game or by purchasing them using real money. Although this is a quick and expensive way to unlock character skins, there are also other ways to unlock them.
Steve Brownback, a Senior QA Analyst at Netherrealm Studios, recently took to Twitter to reveal a quick and easy way to unlock character skins like Jade’s skins.
Pro tip: character tutorials are a quick and easy way to unlock a skin. Jade’s unlock is one of her best! You may even learn a thing or two. Remember, there is no knowledge that is not power.

According to Brownback, if you complete enough Character Tutorials in Mortal Kombat 11, you will unlock certain rewards which include character skins. Character Tutorials also serve as an excellent way to quickly bring new players up to speed.
NetherRealms have also hidden Shao Khan’s voice behind Character Tutorials. Complete enough Character Tutorials and you will unlock Shao Khan as the announcer in Mortal Kombat 11.
Brownback is Tweeting a pro tip for MK11 almost daily, so it’s a good idea to follow him on his Twitter. He recently posted another tip regarding Tournament Presets.
Pro tip: In the presets menu(press 1 in the ability section of the kustomization menu) you will see two at the bottom with a trophy symbol next to them. These are the tournament presets.
