Cyberpunk 2077’s Gameplay Is Not Exactly What We Have Seen So Far

Cyberpunk 2077's quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz has revealed that the game is now different compared to what was shown at E3 last year.

Cyberpunk 2077’s current gameplay is pretty different compared to what was shown at E3 2018, according to quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz. He says that the game’s mechanics are now also changed but it’s still a role-playing game at heart.

Tomaszkiewicz revealed some interesting new tidbits about Cyberpunk 2077 in a recent interview with AreaJugones. He mentioned that Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay is now much cooler. There are a lot of gameplay mechanics that CD Projekt Red hasn’t shown yet and some are currently being worked on.

The game is still in development and obviously I want it to be the best it could when it’s ready. We are constantly polishing and thinking how make the game more interesting, who make the gameplay more cool and, well, the demo shown last year was only a small fracment of the actual game.

There wasn’t a clear picture of how the game fits into an open world or how it fits into a larger image of the game. So, there are many stuff that we didn’t show yet, there are many things that we are still working on. I would say that the game is pretty different to what we shown last year but there are many details that we are currently working on.

When asked about gunplay and combat in Cyberpunk 2077, quest director confirmed: “the combat in the first person is something added to this genre.” This way the game offers a variety of different ways to complete missions. Speaking of the Cyberpunk’s shooting mechanics, Tomaszkiewicz declared that it’s somewhere between arcade and sim.

Tomaszkiewicz then continued to reveal that the team is working hard to bring new and fun combat mechanics in Cyberpunk 2077. There are a variety of weapons in the game that will make Cyberpunk 2077 stand out.

The fact that the gameplay is now different compared to what was shown at E3 2018 is a good thing. It could mean that the gameplay is now more polished and appealing than before.

It’s possible that we might get to witness these new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay mechanics with a trailer at E3 2019. Cyberpunk 2077 has been confirmed to make an appearance at the festival, where we are also expecting to know about the game’s release date.

E3 2019 is the most important show in CD Projekt Red’s history so they’ll make sure to show some new and mind-blowing aspects of the game at the event.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for Microsoft’s Xbox One, PC and Sony’s PlayStation 4.
