The Nintendo Switch exclusive superhero game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will be releasing on Nintendo Eshop on the 19th of July. This means you’ll be able to get your hands on the black order within roughly two and a half months.
Just how the third part of the Ultimate Alliance trilogy became a Nintendo Switch exclusive is still pretty shocking but here we are.
The heroes have banded back together to fight Thanos as the main villain this time. Is that a downgrade or upgrade from Doctor Doom? I’ll let you decide.
We’ve already seen info blowouts in the form of screenshots and plot leaks. This July, the game will finally be playable, however.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is another exclusive bringing up the roster of Nintendo Switch alongside Super Smash Bros Ultimate and the upcoming Pokemon games.
The portable console is otherwise more catered to making ports of popular games such as Mortal Kombat 11. We’re getting off track a bit though.
Is this really the best step that Marvel could’ve taken with the trilogy? I’m a fan of the Switch and I own one as well so my issues with the game aren’t related to the exclusivity.
I think it has more to do with the fact that the game just feels lazy. I mean, the amount of time that’s passed since the last Ultimate Alliance released and now, July 19th. We finally get the beloved sequel but it just looks like a mobile game at best.
I understand that the Nintendo Switch isn’t meant to be very high end on graphics but why is Ultimate Alliance 3 a Switch exclusive? I feel like Marvel should’ve owed it to fans of the trilogy not to lock so many of them off behind exclusivity.
Besides that, the people who aren’t locked off just get a very half baked experience. The game looks terrible for the current timeline we’re in. I mean look at how gorgeous Spider-Man looked. At this point, I can even say that maybe Ultimate Alliance looked better than 3.
That’s just my take though. It might even change once the game releases. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will be releasing on July 19th as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
