New Sekiro Shadows Die Twice datamine reveals that an alternative way of curing Dragonrot through “Dragonrot Pellets” was cut from the game. It was discovered by Lance McDonald, a veteran known for finding cut content in Dark Souls.
As everyone knows, dying a lot in Sekiro results in NPCs getting infected by a disease called Dragonrot. Those infected by Dragonrot can be all cured at once with a Recovery Charm. However, the original way for the players to cure Dragonrot was through the use of Dragonrot Pellets, which allowed the players to cure characters one by one instead of curing all at once.
In addition to this, restoring Draonrot Pellets in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice brings additional dialogue options especially when speaking to Dogen. Offering pellets to Dogen triggers an unused conversation during which he also talks about Emma. Although, it’s not like a big reveal but still enough for lore hunters of Sekiro.
That’s pretty much all that McDonald has discovered until now. Combining all of the cut content from Sekiro Shadows Die Twice results in an 11-minute long video which you guys can watch here.
It’s obvious that FromSoftware had to delete some content from the game. Final decisions have paid off well as the game has turned out to be a massive success. Players are loving the challenges and story that the game has to offer.
On the other hand, modders are active as well. Easy difficulty mod is now available allowing everyone to enjoy the game without getting tired of dying. It’s a must have since FromSoftware is least expected to bring an easy mode in the game.
The new easy difficulty mod slows down the speed of every boss/enemy in the game to provide you with extra time to deflect and encounter enemy attacks.
Don’t worry, there’s nothing for your character to lose. There are other mods too you can try out for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You can unlock frame rates if you want, adjust the field of view (FOV) with different options and initiate a stat screen to show live death/kill count. Interested folks should also check our list of Sekiro mods here.
Unfortunately, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can’t use these mods. Struggling players can also check out our Sekiro guide here to know about the tips to beat different bosses in the game.
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice published by Activision is now available to play on Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One and PC.
