E3 2019: Everything We Know About This Year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo

E3 2019 press conferences are scheduled for June. Sony will be missing E3 2019 this year but Microsoft, EA, Bethesda, and other companies will be present at Electronics Art Expo 2019. It is the biggest gaming event of the year.

E3 2019 is held at the LA Convention Center. The gaming convention will attract fans, developers, and publishers from around the world. Everything you need to know about the upcoming gaming convention is right here.

We will go over announcements, developers, possibilities, fan wishlists, and much more.

E3 2019 Pre Conferences, Reveals, Appearances and More

There are several companies confirmed to be hosting an event at E3 2019. Ubisoft, Microsoft, Bethesda, and The PC Gaming Show are confirmed for this year while Nintendo and a few others are yet to share details of their plans.

Sony won’t be at this year’s event with new games and announcements. The company seems to be saving its plans for PlayStation Experience that is scheduled for December 2019. Most of Sony’s games are already out or have a release date for 2019.  There isn’t much to share at this point so the company decided to hold off until PSX 2019.

E3 PLAY – June 7 – June 9

Let’s start with EA PLAY, EA’s gaming press conference is scheduled for Friday, June 7.  According to the official website, EA PLAY will end on Sunday, June 9. Free tickets for the event will be distributed soon.

During the two day event, one of the highlights of this year’s E3 gaming convention will be shown. Respawn Entertainment will share more about its Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The game is set to be shown this weekend, however, an extensive preview of Jedi Fallen Order is expected at E3 2019 (EA PLAY). A new Battlefield nor Titanfall 3 seems likely. Respawn’s focus is solely on the new Star Wars game.

EA PLAY will reveal FIFA, Madden, NHL, and a new NBA game is expected as well. The most interesting aspect of EA PLAY would be BioWare’s Anthem.

Anthem has been criticized for its lack of content, vision, poor development and EA PLAY seems like the right place to reveal more content, fixes, and improvements for Anthem. BioWare’s Anthem has an opportunity to redeem itself at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019.

As far as the awaited Dragon Age 4 goes, Dragon Age is a game that’s been reportedly rebooted recently by BioWare. According to a report from Kotaku, Dragon Age 4 will now be created on Anthem’s base code.

EA wants a live service Dragon Age game and the lack of competent leadership hasn’t been able to put together anything solid. Dragon Age 4 trailer we saw at The Game Awards 2018 gave some story hints but it is safe to say we can throw that out the door, just like BioWare did.

On the other hand, it would also be interesting to see if the creators of Star Wars Battlefront games and Battlefield has something new in the works at EA DICE.

DICE is busy with Battlefield Firestorm and we may see new Firestorm maps and content. As far as a new game goes, EA DICE doesn’t seem to be ready to reveal anything at this point.

Bethesda E3 2019 – Sunday, June 9

Bethesda hasn’t had a good year thanks to the release of Fallout 76 late last year. The PR nightmare continues to this day. Bethesda took to stage at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 and lied to the community about Fallout 76.

It was a surprise to hear Bethesda hosting a press conference this year at E3. Bethesda E3 2019 press conference is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 5:30 pm PT. Bethesda gave the impression of not being ready to publically show Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6.  The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76 are going to be the highlight of the show with new content.

Both games are Bethesda’s largest MMOs so the focus of the press conference should be on the two.  There are rumors that Bethesda may announce a free to play model for Fallout 76.

The Elder Scrolls Blades and The Elder Scrolls Legends card game will be at E3 2019 during Bethesda’s press conference.

Those hoping to see Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI will be disappointed. Both games, at this point, are no way near ready for a public showing. Especially, after how Fallout 76 was received, Bethesda would think twice about showing anything else created on the Creation Engine.

Bethesda Game Studios is using the Creation Engine to develop Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 which means we could end up seeing issues similar to Fallout 76.

Ubisoft E3 2019 – Monday, June 10

After Sony’s exit from E3 2019, there are two companies fans are looking forward to seeing the most – Microsoft and Ubisoft.

Ubisoft is hosting its annual press conference at E3 2019. Ubisoft released The Division 2 early this year and the game has proved to be a massive success for Massive Entertainment. Massive will be present at E3 2019 where more exciting content will be shared for The Division 2. Earlier this month we got Tidal Basin stronghold and many Invasion missions. On April 25, the first 8-man raid is heading to The Division 2. At E3 2019, further content release plans will be shared for The Division 2. We may also see a glimpse of the year 2 season pass.

Ubisoft has been discussing Splinter Cell recently and it seems this year we may see something related to the IP. A new installment in the Splinter Cell series is long due. However, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained how developers are busy with other projects yet are working on ideas for Splinter Cell. If we go by that statement then it will be a while before we see a new Splinter Cell. Of course, it could just be misdirection.

The main highlights of Ubisoft’s press conference will be a new Assassin’s Creed game, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and Skull and Bones Skull and Bones may finally get a release date out of Ubisoft’s keynote.

Ubisoft is rumored to announce three to four new AAA titles in between March 2019 and March 2020. E3 2019 is shaping up to be an exciting event.

Microsoft E3 2019 – TBD

There is so much going on when we discuss Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Microsoft claims it is going to be the biggest show in terms of new announcements and reveals.

The creator of Xbox has struggled with Xbox One and Xbox One X. The lack of quality games is a problem Phil Spencer aims to solve. At Microsoft E3 2019 press keynote, we will see Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport 8, Gears 5, Halo 5 for PC, new details regarding Xbox Game Pass, and much more.

Gears 5 is expected to be teased at the next episode of Inside Xbox where Microsoft will reveal its E3 2019 plans. The episode that airs on April 16, 2019, at 2 PM PT /5 PM ET/10PM BST will bring The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson, the man currently in charge of Gears of War series.

Microsoft has bought a handful of new studios that are dying to show what they have been working on for Xbox.

There are rumors of new hardware reveals as well. Microsoft is rumored to show codename Xbox Anaconda aka Xbox Scarlett. The next generation Xbox will get full support from the rejuvenated first-party studios lineup and inticing third-party deals.

Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will be revealed at the event as well. We may hear more about project xCloud streaming service.

PC Gaming Show E3 2019 – Monday, June 10

After years of missing out at the biggest gaming convention in the world, PC gamers got the PC Gaming Show at E3. The show has been hosted by PC Gamer for the past 5 years and this year won’t be any different.

The PC Gaming Show E3 2019 is on for Monday, June 10, 2019, at 10 am PT (1 pm ET, 5 pm UK). There isn’t much know at the moment about the show but we expect to see some new indie games and some form of presence from Epic Games.

Nintendo Direct E3 2019 – TBD

Nintendo is yet to discuss plans for its E3 2019 Direct stream. Usually, the Nintendo Direct airs on Tuesday Morning and the company is present physically at the LA Convention Center. Nintendo is working on Pokemon Sword and Shield which is due out by the end of the year. There an Animal Crossing game in development for Nintendo Switch as well.

Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch is set for release in 2019. The Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening Remake is in development and a new Mario Maker title is coming to Nintendo Switch.

As more details arrive regarding E3 2019 we will be updating the article.
