Black Ops 4 Infected Mode Arrives Today With a Twist

Black Ops 4 Infected mode will be arriving today on PlayStation 4 as a part of software update. The update also includes the new Blackout Alcatraz map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players are in for a treat as Infected Mode arrives today starting with PlayStation 4. After a lot of demand and discussions, Treyarch has finally introduced the returning Infected mode which comes with a twist.

For the first time in BO4, the infected player will be a zombie. “Fight to survive against an ever-growing team of infected, or join the horde and eliminate your enemies”, says Treyarch.

The objective of the player who turns to a zombie is to infect other players by killing them in order to win. Normal players just have to survive until the end to win. It’s a little complicated but very fun especially when played with friends.

The classic Infected multiplayer mode has been a part of many previous Call of Duty games in the series. It’s good to see it return with a twist.

PlayStation 4 owners will get hold of it first since its new content due to the deal between Activision and Sony. Xbox One and PC players will have to wait until Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Infected is not the only new feature coming to the game this week. Treyarch’s announcement also includes the arrival of Skill Divisions in League and “Alcatraz” which is the latest map for Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

Here’s the official description of things coming:

  • Skill Divisions – League Play: Skill Divisions arrive in the World League Hub starting April 9! Divisions will now reflect each players skill tier io the ranking system, from Competitor all the way up to the top 2% in Master Divison
  • Alcatraz – Blackout (Xbox One/PC): Experience close-quarters mayhem on Alcatraz! Drop in to Blackout’s newest map available on all platforms on April 9 packed with new secrets and surprises.

That’s not it as “more” things are expected to be included in today’s Black Ops 4 update according to the developer. We will make sure to let you know first.

For those who don’t know, combat record of Black Ops 4 has finally arrived but not in the game. The combat record feature is now available through Call of Duty companion application and site. It will come handy for serious players who want to know how well they are doing in the latest entry of Call of Duty franchise. However, players are upset for the feature not being present in the game itself. Hopefully, they will implement it in the game soon.

The upcoming update is also expected to bring bugs fixes, gameplay adjustments, weapon tuning and more which we will talk about in detail once patch notes are available.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 published by Activision is now available to play on Microsoft’s Xbox One, PC and Sony’s PlayStation 4.
