Borderlands 3 News Pumped New Life Into Borderlands 2 Playerbase On Steam

Gearbox released the trailer of the highly anticipated Borderlands 3 at PAX East a few days ago and some news dropped earlier today. The trailer is filled with action, great graphics and highlights the fact that it will feature almost “One Billion Guns.”

The hype of Borderlands 3 has helped other Gearbox games see an upward spike in playerbase. Borderlands 2 averaged around 5K to 10K players before Borderlands 3 news dropped. However, after the announcement trailer, Borderlands 2 spiked to 40K players in 24-hours on Steam.

Gearbox promised more information on April 3rd so the release date of the game might be announced at the time you read this article. The huge amount of fans which could not wait to play the next gem in Borderlands series have gone back to its prequels on Steam.

Besides the launch of Borderlands 3 trailer at PAX East, Gearbox had other huge announcements too which including Borderlands Game of the Year edition for PS4, Xbox One and PC, Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection Ultra-HD update for PS4 and Xbox One and Borderlands 2 DLC for PlayStation VR version.

Borderlands 3 release date is September 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. There is another piece of Borderlands 3 news that won’t sit well with PC players. According to Gearbox, Borderlands 3 is an Epic Games Store exclusive for 6 months.
