Ubisoft is about to have their Spring Sale and Far Cry New Dawn is 50% off. One of the many times that games go into good deals to celebrate the changing season. It’s also a good marketing option considering Far Cry New Dawn sales have been down compared to previous entries.
The game is around $20 instead of the usual $40 price on PSN. Though this varies on regional pricing here and there. Either way, it’s a great option to buy the newest installment Ubisoft franchises, Far Cry New Dawn
Far Cry New Dawn isn’t some sort of DLC add-on by the way. It is, in fact, a full game which is hard to believe considering how soon it released after Far Cry 5.
This is because it’s a spin-off game. Ubisoft has kept this trend of releasing a Far Cry spin-off after every main installment since Far Cry 3. The follow-up to that being Blood Dragon. Far Cry 4 then got Primal and now 5 has New Dawn.
New Dawn is the first time that the spin-off is the direct continuation of a story though. It picks up exactly where 5 left off.
Spoiler alert: things didn’t end well for Hope County.
The world is now in a post-nuclear war apocalypse. That’s the theme for this Far Cry. Although the gameplay might not be the best, I admire Ubisoft’s ability to make the setting of every Far Cry different.
The game’s setting is also an interesting take on the post-apocalypse genre. Being much more colorful and overgrown than the usual brown color splashed wasteland vibe we see in games like Fallout or Rage.
Find out what happened to your friends in Hope County. Who lived and who died, as well as what happened to Joseph Seed and the Deputy. The last we saw of them, they were locked up in Dutch’s bunker in one hell of a cliffhanger.
Far Cry New Dawn is on sale now for 50% off.
