Blizzard Files Diablo Trademark Under Film And Television, Movie Or A Live-Action Series?

Blizzard Entertainment is yet to reveal its plans for Diablo 4 but it seems that the studio is more interested in a Diablo movie.

Diablo is one of the most popular and long-running franchises in the game industry. Blizzard Entertainment is yet to reveal its plans for Diablo 4 but it seems that the studio is more interested in a Diablo movie.

Blizzard has filed for Diablo trademark on the US Patent and Trademark Office website. The trademark was filed earlier this month under film and television. It seems that Blizzard Entertainment is very serious about a Diablo movie or could just be filing the trademark for future use.

This falls in line with a previous rumor that Netflix is developing a Diablo series. With that in mind, it makes sense for Blizzard Entertainment to file for the Diablo trademark under film and television.

Diablo movie

So we might be getting either a Diablo movie or a live-action series. However, given that Diablo has one of the deepest lores in video games, it would make sense if Blizzard is going for a Diablo series. However, until Blizzard confirms the Diablo movie or series take it with a grain of salt.

On the other hand, fans of the Diablo series are more interested in Diablo 4. Things didn’t go well when Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal as fans were not happy with the studio announcing a mobile title that won’t even come on PC.

But, the studio has assured that multiple Diablo projects will be announced in 2019.

We have many plans for Diablo across multiple projects which we’ll be revealing over the course of the coming year. We are eager to share more about all of our projects, but some will have to wait as we prefer to show you, rather than tell you, about them

It’s been over two months since the year 2019 began and Blizzard is yet to announce anything related to Diablo.

However, we still have over 9 months for the year 2019 to end. So Blizzard has plenty of time to announce Diablo 4. But, I am not sure that Diablo fans will be able to wait much longer.
