The Devil May Cry 5 Bloody Palace challenge area has been announced to be releasing on April 1, according to a statement from Capcom UK’s official Twitter page. The company stressed that it’s not an April Fool’s joke, you really will be able to challenge yourself more when the Bloody Palace appears.
Devil May Cry came out earlier this month to rave reviews from its fanbase and critics (even those who continue to believe that the Ninja Theory reboot was better, somehow). Capcom had said earlier that the Bloody Palace challenge area would be added later in the game, and since at the moment many fans are still likely playing through the game at successively higher difficulties, Capcom has the time to perfect the Palace.
The Devil May Cry 5 Bloody Palace, as said before, is a challenge area, where players can pit their skills against an ever-more-difficult array of enemies to see how long you can last and the various challenges that you can complete. While Devil May Cry 5 will likely not be getting any story DLC, the Bloody Palace will hopefully make up for it.
Considering it’s been over a decade since Devil May Cry 4 came out (it came out in 2008, 11 years to be exact) and many fans thought of DmC as a poor replacement, it’s likely that a lot of fans don’t even care about a lack of DLC and are just happy to be back with Dante and Nero.
Since you have three different characters to pick from as well in the game, if you master the Bloody Palace with Dante, you can start again with Nero, and then possibly move to V, or whatever order you want to put it in.
So, if you’ve beaten Devil May Cry 5 and are close to beating the story, or have already beaten the story multiple times over, then be on the lookout for the Devil May Cry 5 Bloody Palace release on April 1.
