Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a file size of 12.75 GB on the Xbox One but that’s only for the installer.
On March 11th, Microsoft updated the store page for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It also revealed the installation size of the game to be only 12.75 GB on Xbox One.
The file size is kind of small when compared with other games. Bioware’s Anthem had a file size of 43.74 GB. So when we’re talking Sekiro having a file size of 12.75, we imagine what the game will actually be like inside.
Majority of the gameplay mechanics will focus on combat but will also rely on stealth. Stealth elements within the game will allow players to immediately take out enemies if they can get in range without being detected.
The player character will also have the ability to use various tools. They will assist with combat and exploration. The tools will include a grappling hook, a torch, and many more.
The game will feature almost little to no role-playing elements. Players won’t get to see elements such as character creation, classes, or equipment upgrades. There will also be no multiplayer elements.
The relatively low size of the game also points towards what the game-length might be. Fans are showing mixed reactions to this, some fans are pleased while others are disappointed.
Yasuhiro Kitao said while speaking to VG247 about Sekiro in an interview at Gamescom 2018:
We can’t give a specific number of hours right now, but we think in terms of game volume, it’s probably not going to be too different from our recent titles.
Whether or not a file size of 12.75 GB on the Xbox One will enough content to satisfy players is unknown but we’ll keep you updated right here.
