Devil May Cry 5 Endings Guide – How to Unlock the Secret Ending

Devil May Cry 5 has many different difficulties and challenges for you to play through and by the time you are done, you will reach one of two different DMC5 Endings that the game has to offer.

Devil May Cry 5 Endings

One is the Regular Ending that you will reach eventually, regardless of what you do during gameplay. The other is a Secret Ending that is only achieved when you achieve a certain feat.

This DMC5 Endings Guide will tell you how to reach both endings so here is an obvious Spoiler Warning before you read any further.

Normal Ending

In this ending, Dante and Vergil change into their Demon Forms and are about to fight until they are interrupted by Nero who enters in his own Demon Form and stops them.

Dante and Vergil both decide to go to the Underworld to stop the invasion after Nero discusses it. Despite Nero’s concern that they will become trapped if they go, he is unable to stop them, much to his despair.

This is followed by a series of short cutscenes like Nero and Nico having a conversation, another between Lady and Trish, and a final shot of Dante and Vergil facing the demons.

Secret Ending

This ending is more of a joke and is achieved when you beat Urizen during the prologue sequence and unlock the “Well I’ll Be Damned” Trophy/Achievement.

After he beats up Dante and the crew, Nero can tackle him. On the Heaven or Hell difficulty, he will easily go down without much the game then congratulates you for winning with the following text:

“The one who usurped the demon throne was vanquished. Peace returned to the world above. Indeed, this was the perfect conclusion all had hoped for. Come, raise your fist in victory and celebration. A new legend has been born.”

After this, it immediately rolls credits.
