Battlefield 5’s Firestorm mode is finally out of the curtain as its trailer just got leaked. The leaked battle royale trailer showcases gameplay and features DICE’s Lars Gustavsson as the narrator.
Despite the recent leaks, the leaked video gives us a lot of information about the upcoming mode. You can check out the video here. The trailer starts with Gustavsson explaining different squad options including Solo, Duo, and Squads.
Just like any other battle royale, the game starts with players dropping from the sky but with parachutes. Afterward, players will have to find a weapon as a mean for their survival along with items. Similar to Fortnite, there are three different types of weapon tiers including Common, Rare, and Epic with their own ammo type.
Objectives and safes are present throughout the map giving you access to epic reinforcements, rare loot, and combat vehicles.
Ammo and weapon inventory is limited but you can find backpacks around the map in order to expand the storage capacity. You can also share ammo/items with your friends or teammates in Duos and Squad.
The most interesting and unique thing in the Battlefield 5 battle royale is the use of sidearm while the player is down. Like the last man standing from Call of Duty, players will have the opportunity to resist enemies while their teammates revive them.
That’s pretty much it as told by the narrator before he ends the video by saying scavenge, survive and fight. EA seemingly has confirmed the leak in a recent Tweet captioned “More to come” with the emojis for fire and storm.
Battlefield 5 Firestorm has been announced for March 2019 with no specific release date. Besides that, a Reddit user has dug through the game files to find out details about Battlefield V battle royale. According to him, the official description of the mode is as follows.
Do whatever it takes to survive. Compete solo or in a team to be the last one standing in a vast and dangerous world. Scavenge for supplies, outrun the Firestorm, and fight your way to victory.
The maximum amount of players is 64 per match. Vehicles types include helicopter, Schimmwagon pickup, staff car, sports car, and truck tractor. If interested, you can read all of the leaked information in our article here.
Battlefield V has been here for some time selling over 7 million copies but it overall failed to meet EA’s expectations. Firestorm could be Electronic Art’s attempt to fill in the gaps after the successful launch of Apex Legends. However, with the success of Apex Legends, Battlefield V Firestorm release date could be delayed as EA might want to put some gap between their two battle royale releases.
