Sony Offering Refunds for Anthem Because It’s Crashing PS4

Sony is offering refunds to Anthem owners because the game is crashing their PS4, according to the reports.

Many players are reporting on Reddit that Anthem randomly crashes on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. Not only that, sometimes the newly released looter-shooter shuts down the consoles unexpectedly.

It’s not something usual or something you can ignore as the sudden shutdown of a system can cause damage to the unit. Basically, the game is harmful to the system and can also brick it, making it completely useless.

This issue stays despite the day one patch. If you have it on PS4 then there’s good news as Sony Corporation is offering refunds, according to several Redditors.

Many are claiming that they have got refunds on their digital copies of Anthem without any questions asked. It doesn’t happen often as PlayStation has a strict digital return policy and the last time we saw it happening was with No Man’s Sky due to its false advertising.

“Sony is aware of the issue and is offering a complete refund on Anthem no questions asked. Took me 5 minutes”, says a Redditor.

Another user shared:

The game is broken on PS4, and I don’t want to risk the game bricking my console to play it. It is a defective product. Every other game on my system is working fine. Can you help me get this returned and refunded, please?

And they helped right away, no problem at all. Just provided some account info after that, that they needed, and then it was refunded.

Unfortunately, it’s not working out for everyone as one user mentioned that he was refused a refund and Sony also suggested them to stop playing the game.

We hope that EA is aware of the issue and releases an update soon before it turns out to be another failure like Star Wars Battlefront 2. Though it’s not a worldwide issue as many are playing the game without any issues on current-gen consoles.

Despite all that, BioWare is committed to making the game better and more fun in the upcoming months. The developers have revealed a 90-day post-launch roadmap detailing exciting new content and events to come.

Starting with March, we will receive new Legendary Missions, events, the Mastery System, leaderboards, guilds, new strongholds and a lot more in the game. Bug fixes and gameplay changes are also included.

Anthem is now available to play on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
