The Division 2’s official release date is just around the corner, but those lucky enough to have played the closed beta already tasted what it’s like to hit the streets of the post pandemic Washington DC.
Ubisoft has now released the extensive details of all the changes, tweaks, and additions that will come in The Division 2 open beta. The changes tackle the issues found in the closed beta of the game. Taking an educated guess, it seems these improvements will also make it to the final version of the game with additional fixes as well.
The patch release notes for The Division 2 open beta highlight several key fixes. Additionally, Ubisoft has also opened the View-point Museum mission for the open beta. Capital Ruins are available in Skirmish as well, and the overall level cap has been raised from 7 to 8.
The full list of patch notes for the open beta can be found on the game’s official form. The tl;dr version of it is as follows:
- Minor fixes for sound issues
- Increase level cap to level 8
- Reduced call for Back-up Spam
- Difficulty adjusted on normal and end game
- Chem Launcher available
- Signature drop rate increased
Of course, there are many more improvements minor bug fixes and general improvements as well. You can read the full list of fixes on the official press release. Many of the new additions were already highlighted by Ubisoft recently.
The Division 2 open beta begins on March 1 and will close on March 4. The download size of the open beta is around 46GB for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who have the private beta previously installed will need to download a 12GB update.
Ubisoft also recently released more information on the special preorder Year 1 pass through an update to their store listing, which hints at specialization unlocks in the future and earlier access to Episodes.
The full release of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be worldwide on March 15.
