Forget Shaggy, Bayonetta Could Come to Mortal Kombat 11

A pair of tweets from Hideki Kamiya, creator of Bayonetta, poked the bear that is the upcoming new installment in the Mortal Kombat series. He wants Bayonetta in Mortal Kombat 11, a crossover we didn’t quite expect, but welcome it nonetheless. We haven’t seen her in any leaks recently so this could be a new development.

This tweet was followed up by the question of her being brutalized in a fatality. Hideki added that she’d probably enjoy it though. Interesting…

Bayonetta is currently in another fighting game roster already, that being the Super Smash Brothers title. That does sort of make this jump from that to MK 11 quite the leap. Although she’s in Nintendo titles mostly, Bayonetta is for pretty mature audiences.

This isn’t just for her fan-service nature since a lot of Mortal Kombat characters have had that as well. Bayonetta as a character is one violent and powerful individual. The combination of those attributes are the basic recipe for any Mortal Kombat character really.

So yes, Bayonetta would definitely fit in Mortal Kombat 11. Her powers revolve around her using her hair as a primary weapon almost. This, coupled with her gun loaded heels and arcane arts would make for one hell of an opponent. Even the fatalities with her could be very interesting.

I can already imagine the fancy music in her character trailer should there be one. Bayonetta is a more comical and cartoony character due to the design of the games she’s in. It’d be very interesting to see how exactly she looks with a MK 11 paintjob. If Injustice 2 could have the ninja turtles, then Bayonetta can make it to Mortal Kombat 11.

We do know that Mortal Kombat 11 is coming to the Nintendo Switch, albeit a bit delayed. So Bayonetta being a Switch exclusive character addition would definitely add incentive to getting that version of the game. Seeing as how graphically and performance-wise, it’s better to get MK 11 on the PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
