ESRB Rates New Five Nights At Freddy’s Game Coming To Playstation VR

The ESRB has given a rating for a new Five Nights At Freddy’s game, which will be coming to Playstation VR at some point in the future. This will be the first of the games to be coming to a console, when the series has formerly been exclusive to the PC.

Five Nights At Freddy’s is a series of point-and-click survival horror games that all center around a group of possessed animatronic figures from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a pizza restaurant. The first game released in August of 2014 and immediately gained a huge following for its terror, mythology, and gameplay. Since then, series creator Scott Cawthorn has released a large number of other games continuing the series in a variety of new ways.

The new Five Nights At Freddy’s game will be the first one released since Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, which came out in 2017 and focused around a business simulation of your own Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location. This game was released for free, though the new game likely won’t be free of charge when it releases.

The new Five Nights At Freddy’s game isn’t really that new, since it’s basically the first game just ported over to the Playstation, but it’s the first sign of activity we’ve gotten from Cawthorn in two years, a welcome respite since the quality of FNAF games had been declining. The game is called “Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted”, where you’ll play the role of the establishment’s new night watchmen and have to survive each night without being brutally murdered by the puppets.

While lots of gamers are probably past the Five Nights At Freddy’s games by now, if you want to re-experience the terror in VR, the new Five Nights At Freddy’s game is probably for you.

There’s no telling when the game will be coming out, but we’ll likely get a trailer soon.
