Valentine’s Day happened yesterday, and all over the world a number of gaming studios wished happiness and love upon their fanbases, including CD Projekt RED, in their own special way. But the piece of art that they used has gotten fans wondering about hints of a Cyberpunk 2077 release date hidden inside it.
The art in question is twisted in a way that only cyberpunk as a genre can twist things. A short and chubby sniper, pile white and with a pair of stubby wings grafted onto their back, ironically named “Cupid”, sits on a dark rooftop with a pink sniper rifle. But it’s not the picture that’s the main draw that Cyberpunk fans have.
Instead, it’s the numbers scattered around the picture. Below Cupid’s nose, a 69 can be seen, and a 112 can be seen on the sniper rifle they’re using. People have been thinking about the possibility of these being a Cyberpunk 2077 release date, such as June 9 or November 2 or January 12, but there’s no telling if any of these are correct or not.
While we have gotten a bit of Cyberpunk news since the game debuted at E3 last year, we haven’t gotten anything about a release date since then. We don’t know if it’ll be coming out this year, or next year, or any other time, but that’s hopefully going to change soon, especially since we’ve been waiting on this game for a fairly long time.
A Cyberpunk 2077 release date coming at some point, and turning out to be June 9 or November 2 would be nice, but we’ll just have to wait for CD Projekt RED to actually make the announcement on a release date sometime in the future, and who knows when that could be.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming out on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC sometime soon.
