Anthem Interceptor Javelin Guide – Weapons, Gadgets, Grenades, How to Play

Interceptor Javelin is one of the initial four Javelins in Anthem. Here is all about its abilities, weapons, gadgets, ultimate usage, strengths, and weaknesses.

The Interceptor is one of the several types of Javelins used by Freelancers during their expeditions outside of Fort Tarsis. It has minimal armor, but it makes up for that, in the mobility department.

With one of the lightest armors equipped, Interceptor can carry his weight around by pulling off some quick maneuvers and taking down hostiles by surprise that makes him a great asset to the team.

Anthem Interceptor Javelin

Although it may not be able to take much damage, it does not have to, because with its swift maneuvers, it can dodge most incoming projectiles effectively. And if things get hairy, you can always rush to the nearest cover in no time.

In addition to that, his unique Passive Ability lets him charge his shield at a faster rate.

Weapons

The Interceptor Javelin is capable of wielding every weapon type except for Heavy Weapons that are exclusive only for the use of the Colossus Javelin.

Like all other Javelins, he can carry two guns with him. If you ran out of them, you can simply rely on your Weapons System to aid you.

With Interceptor’s insane mobility, you will find him mostly in the face of the enemy where if you ran out of ammo, you can rely on its melee attack.

Caleed the Double-Bladed Dagger, the Melee Ability lets you use a pair of double-bladed daggers to carve out the enemies with a chain of powerful attacks dealing devastating damage and can be continued indefinitely.

To add the cherry on top, unlike the other Javelin’s, Interceptor’s melee does not have a cooldown, so have as much fun with it as you like.

General Tips and Strategies

Interceptor Javelin comes with the least armor protection, so while using it be careful when engaging the enemy.

While it works fine against a single enemy or a smaller group, you may not be able to take on hordes of enemies, so when facing overwhelming odds, it is best to retreat.

Interceptor Javelin is the smallest Javelin out of all of the Javelins, so he has a smaller hitbox.

Add that to the fact, that it can move around very quickly and can execute triple jumps as well as triple dodges, making him a nightmare to deal with. Make use of that and work on your evading techniques.

Interceptors like to get up close and personal with the enemies, if you choose to play with the Interceptor you will need to adapt to this style.

When going with this approach try to use a weapon with a faster reloading speed, as that suits it the best, with that keep a shotgun as a secondary, because it can shred multiple enemies at once.

So, it should be used as a backup when reloading is not an option.

Furthermore, if you do find yourself in a sticky situation, keep Interceptor’s ultimate in mind, as it can turn you invincible so, it is essentially a free ticket out of the grave.
