Apex Legends Now At 2 Million Concurrent Players

Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella has now revealed that Apex Legends has passed over 25 Million player count since its launch.

Respawn Entertainment has now officially announced that Apex Legends has crossed over 25 Million players since its launch last week. The total number of players show how much popular the game has turned out to be as it passed 10 Million players in just three days leaving behind battle royale games like Fortnite.

In addition to how many people play Apex Legends, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella revealed that they registered over 2 million concurrent players online over the last weekend. The total player count includes everyone who has played the game once which is a big achievement for the developers and the concurrent number of players confirms a great start for the game.

Apex is a free to play battle royale game from the creators of Titanfall on platforms like PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which is why it can’t be compared to games like Blackout. But we can compare it to titles like Fortnite which is the biggest and leading competitor when it comes to battle royale games.

In comparison to Fortnite, Apex Legends is doing a lot better. Apex Legends crossed over 10 million players in just 72 hours which was done by Fortnite in 2 weeks so there’s a huge difference.

Apex Legends Twitch viewers are also more than that of Fortnite currently which is another big achievement for EA and Respawn. Fortnite is available on mobile devices and Nintendo Switch which is something the creators of AL are not planning to do anytime soon. It’ll be interesting to see how things will change in the future.

It’s just the beginning as Respawn Entertainment has revealed that they are going to continue supporting the game by bringing more content for the players.

Following the announcement of the aforementioned milestone,  Zampella wrote that they are organizing an Apex Legends 2019 tournament which starts today exclusively on Twitch. There’s also Valentine’s Day-themed drop coming later this week. Apex Legends battle pass will arrive in March with new Legends, weapons, loot and more.
