Destiny 2 Titan Skating Ability To Be Less “Excessive” After March Update

Titan Skating ability in Destiny 2 is now going to receive several changes due to PC players using different unconventional input methods to reach fast movement speeds. If you are not one of them then don’t worry as the developers are not removing the ability from the game but instead, these changes are being done to eliminate unfair advantage.

These changes will arrive in March and according to the developers, PC players who are not using keybinding or macros will not notice any difference. After the patch, PC players who are using traditional input methods will not be left behind.

Some of you may be asking why this is being addressed. Players utilizing these unconventional methods are effectively able to exceed the bounds of expected Guardian movement speed so drastically that it creates an unfair advantage when it comes to the fundamentals of combat gameplay like aiming, positioning, and even networking to some degree. We understand that many players value and enjoy this behavior as a core part of the overall skillset and identity of the Titan class.

Bungie mentioned in the latest “This Week at Bungie” blog post that they will continue to work on the Titan skating ability and Titan class in Desinty 2. New changes are just to make this ability less “excessive” and in the future, to create more abilities without the need of macros or any special hardware to access them.

Destiny 2’s Valentine’s Day event called Crimson days is arriving next week. The main purpose of Crimson days it to make you partner with someone and earn new exciting rewards.

The Crimson double is the main mode of this new event. It’s a 2v2 crucible with a round based twist. Staying close to your partner will charge your abilities faster and the players away from their teammates will be revealed on the map making them an easy target for the enemy team.

Destiny 2 is now available to play on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
