There are multiple playable characters in Devil May Cry 5 but developer Capcom didn’t share how the players can switch between characters. During the first chunk of the game, players will be able to play as Nero, V, and Dante.
The first 3-4 missions of the game revolve around Nero before you switch to V. Dante comes around 9-11 missions of Devil May Cry 5.
The game isn’t taking the Devil May Cry 4 approach where a large chunk of the game had Nero before switching to a different playable character. In Devil May Cry 5, playable characters switch chapter wise depending on how Capcom presents the narrative and from whom’s perspective.
But along the way, there will be some DMC5 chapters that will allow you to choose your playable character.
There is no confirmation about how many chapters are in the Devil May Cry V but it is reportedly longer than any of the previous games from the Devil May Cry series.
Each playable character in Devil May Cry 5 is going to have proper screen time but Nero takes the most space. Most of the story is centered around Nero but players will get enough time with Dante and V. Of course, you can always switch between characters during certain missions.
Devil May Cry 5 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8, 2019. Pre-orders for the game are now live on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam, and many third-party retailers.
DMC5 Demo is now available to play on PlayStation Store and Xbox Live right now. The demo will probably be the last one before the final release of the game. No demo is released on PC but you can check out the system requirements.
