Dragon Ball FighterZ Pass 2 New Fighters Revealed

Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball FighterZ rapidly approaches its second season, revealing a pair of two new fighters for the season.

Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ is entering its second season soon. Like any good modern fighting game, the new pass reveals a pair of Dragon Ball FighterZ new characters that are being added to the roster. They are Jiren and Videl, two characters we’re all familiar with from either the show or manga.

We covered a tease about the upcoming season a while ago. Now we finally have our answer, it’s good to see that the new pass is taking from both recent Dragon Ball content as well as classic ones.

We know Jiren from the latest series Dragon Ball had, Dragon Ball Super. He was one of the participants in the universal tournament of power and oh BOY was he powerful. In fact, it took the combined might of Goku and Frieza to finally take him out. That’s a team-up I never thought I’d see.

His moveset appears to be power and brute focused. FighterZ Jiren can counter-attack with a parry like move as well. He can use a few grapples, slams, hard hitting punches and an ultimate move straight from the anime.

Another Dragon Ball FighterZ new character that was an added in was Videl Satan. Gohan’s love interest and a formidable warrior in her own right. Videl was also the great saiyawoman at one point though that part of her persona doesn’t seem to be added in.

Videl’s moveset is that of a more fast-paced brawler type, just like the anime. What she lacks in size, she definitely makes up for in tenacity, and thank GOD she can fly. Gohan as the Saiyaman is also incorporated into her moveset in a manner similar to how 17 functions with 18.

At the end of the trailer was also a special teaser that you should be sure to check out. It keeps the theme of adapting from recent Dragon Ball media so that’s definitely exciting. This is all while another Dragon Ball game is in development by Bandai Namco.

20 year old Chaotic Neutral. I love me some Gwent. Linking the flame is for pussies though. Also the true Mortal Kombatant that remains unbeaten. I love single player games with a compelling story and ...
