Resident Evil 2 Remake Zombie Kills are More than the Population of Japan

Resident Evil 2 Remake official global stats reveal that the players have killed more zombies than the actual population of Japan. It was bound to happen as the latest installment in Resident Evil series has crossed 3 million sales worldwide by beating Resident Evil 7.

Capcom has launched ResidentEvil.net to track different statistics of the game including total playtime, kills and more. As of now, the total playtime of the game around the world is more than 2318 years. The total distance that the players have traveled is 57,155,902 km which is more than the travel distance to Venus (41,400,000 km). With this distance traveled, only 21,184,098 km is left to reach Mars.

The most interesting fact is regarding the total number of zombies killed in Resident Evil 2 Remake since launch. Players have killed 168,817,508 zombies as of now crossing the total population of Japan. The community needs to kill 152,182,492 more make it equal to the population of the USA which is 321,000,000 people.

Now, these are really impressive numbers and tell us how much everyone is enjoying the latest Resident Evil entry in the series. Other stats like total steps, character choices, weapon use, total shots fired, kill death rate, rare death and more are also available on the RE 2 site.

These impressive numbers also bring us the possibility of Resident Evil 3 Remake and according to the producer, it’s possible if the players demand it.

If you haven’t already then start playing today to contribute further to the above-mentioned stats.  The modding community has now also found the character model of Chris Redfield inside RE 2 Remake from the game files. He’s totally playable but only on PC so the players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have to wait further.

We are expecting to see Chris as part of upcoming free downloadable content. He could be one of the “Ghost Survivors” listed by Capcom.  The last time we saw Chris was in Resident Evil 7 but for a short time so getting to play as him again in the latest Resident Evil Remake will be a dream come true.

RE 2 Remake is now available to play on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
