Metro Exodus will be released on February 15th, the same date as Far Cry: New Dawn, Crackdown and even Jump Force.
Metro Exodus is in production at Deep Silver. The head of Deep Silver’s global brand management “Huw Beynon” exclaims his confidence to GamesIndustry.biz by saying:
“We’re confident Metro has an audience that’s been looking forward to this for a long time.”
When asked what he would do against the tough competition against the extremely hyped Far Cry: New Dawn and Crackdown 3, Mr. Beynon said, “Let’s wait and see”.
Metro Exodus may release even sooner than expected, according to one of his statements.
“We’re very happy with where the game’s at in terms of quality, so we want it to release”.
The game has already moved its release date twice: From the fourth quarter of 2018 to February 2019, and now it has moved a week forward, from the last week of February to February 15th.
According to his statement, February 15th may not be the last date. The game may be released even sooner than that.
Huw Beynon has also stated that though both Far Cry and Metro Exodus are in the same genre, being Post-Apocalyptic in nature, the game is going to be different. It is going to offer a “rich, believable world with deep storytelling.” In other words, Mr. Beynon believes that the game will have an amazing story that might become the next cult hit for the fans. Though the games of today have evolved massively in gameplay and the ways player interaction works, not many games have been received with a very compelling story-line.
According to their latest tweet:
The weapons in Metro are some of the most unique and immersive in games, and #MetroExodus is no exception with an overhauled system and endless customisation.

Metro Exodus’ weapons will be the most unique there ever can be. The tweet also mentions “endless customization”. Could it refer that the game will have an RPG-like customization system? Will it be following the same inventory system like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?
To all who don’t know, Metro Exodus is a single-player, story-driver first-person shooter that is aimed at a post apocalyptic world. The Metro 2033 was a great game and we’re speculating Exodus to be something entirely game changing like the 2033. Dmitry Glukhovsky is an amazing author and since Dmitry is closely working with the developers of the game on this project, it might just turn out to be an absolutely polished gem.
All we can do is make the very best game we can, and do the best we can to give it the exposure it deserves.
