Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo Passes 2.4 Million Downloads With 26% Finish Rate

Capcom has now officially announced that Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo has passed 2.4 Million downloads and it has a finish rate of 26%.

Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo has successfully brought fear, shock, and disgust to the players as Capcom has now reported that it has passed over 2.4 Million downloads. These download numbers were officially revealed on Capcom’s site.

Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo is different from others in a sense that it only allows players gameplay of just 30 minutes for once. This limited time to complete Resident Evil demo results in players rushing and missing a lot of things. Capcom also unveils that only 26% of the players have finished the demo.

Keep in mind that these stats only illustrate those who agreed to have their information tracked by Capcom. Now this tells us that the actual number of players count who played RE2 demo is higher. The player count also indicates that people are very satisfied with the latest entry in the Resident Evil series.

User impression of Resident Evil 2 remake so far are mostly positive. The 1-Shot demo does offer a new cut scene to everyone regardless of their progress so just play it if you haven’t already.

Once you finish the demo, you can’t restart it but we have found some interesting things related to the demo. For example, if you have downloaded the demo from Steam, you can try to bypass its time limit. As for the PlayStation, we suggest you to switch accounts and restart your internet router which results in changing of IP Address thus allowing you to play the demo once again on the same system.

Resident Evil 2 remake pre-load of the complete games is already available on Xbox One so you can start downloading the game right now. If you have purchased Resident Evil 2 remake Deluxe version then you can now pre-load outfits, music files, and bonus content as well.As for PS4 owners, they will have to wait till tomorrow, January 23 to pre-load the game. The pre-load date on Steam for RE2 is the same as that of PS4.

Obviously, Resident Evil 2 remake unlock times will be different depending on your region. Fans in Australian/Oceania region will get their game unlocked earlier as compared to those living in Europe or the US.

Capcom has been busy lately revealing more detail about its horror game. Director Kazunori Kadoi and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed at a recent launch event that the campaign length of RE2 Remake is about 10 hours for each character. This justifies words by Capcom that RE2 Remake is not just another remaster or a remake but instead, it’s made from scratch. The original RE2 campaign took around 4 to 5 hours for each character so it confirms that there’s a lot new and unseen content in the remake.

Resident Evil 2 remake is scheduled to release on January 25 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
