Treyarch looks very confused at the moment despite all the success of Black Ops 4.
Treyarch has added a new system with a new Black Ops 4 update which outlines every player without the season pass. There’s now a big yellow triangle next to everyone who doesn’t have the pass. This new system doesn’t make any sense as the players who own expansions can only find DLC map matches to play on.
We think that it’s somewhat humiliating for players who don’t have Black Ops 4 season pass. This new system can also result in players sending hate to those who don’t have it. Though on the other side, this also tells us that the season pass didn’t turn out to be successful as much Treyarch hoped for. We can’t blame the developer for that it seems as Activision might have pushed things here a bit.
By looking at the massive amount of these triangles showing in each lobby, it is fairly easy to guess how many people own Black Ops 4 pass. If you are in a way of someone with the premium pass then be ready to receive some hate messages as the match won’t start or unless you get kicked obviously.
If you are not interested in multiplayer of the game, the developer is offering a free Blackout mode trial. You can sign up for the free Blackout trial today!
Blackout free trial is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It includes game’s Battle Royale mode and lasts till January 24. Perhaps it is another attempt by Treyarch to attract Fortnite playerbase, but we will never know for sure.
If you decide to play it this week, you will be able to try out the first respawn mode in BO4 Blackout called Down But Not Out mode.
Down But Not Out mode is only playable with a squad so get your friends together. It is now available on PS4 and lasts till January 30. As for Xbox One and PC, they are likely to receive this LTM by the next week.
Treyarch is now also working on a new Stash UI for Blackout mode on consoles. It takes a lot of time to scroll through items on the console so the team is trying to make things easier in the upcoming updates.
Black Ops 4 has sold very well. Another reason Treyarch should be focusing on keeping the userbase happy instead of trying to find new ways to get more money out of them.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was released on October 12, 2018 and is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Nintendo Switch release of the game is still far!
