Resident Evil 2’s Remake Game Size Finally Confirmed For PC, Windows 8 Officially Not Supported

Resident Evil 2’s Remake, which is coming out at the end of this month, finally has a confirmed detail: the amount of space its going to gobble up on your Hard Disk.

Resident Evil 2 Remake’s Steam Page has confirmed that the game is going to be 26 GB!

Resident Evil 2 Remake Steam page was refreshed a few hours ago by Capcom, and it now contains more information about the game. 26 GBs may not seem like very huge, considering many recent AAA games take at least 50 GB of space, but it is a lot nonetheless.

In case you didn’t know, Xbox One version of the game will take up 21.07 GB of space, according to the official listing of Resident Evil 2 Remake on Microsoft Store.

Another news that Capcom revealed through these System Requirements is that Windows 8 is now officially not supported. This means that if you still use Windows 8, you’ll either have to upgrade to Windows 8.1, which is a completely free and more stable update, or move to Windows 7/10. Oh, and if you’re somehow still using 32 Bit Windows, you won’t be able to play the game. You’ll need a 64 bit supported OS and a PC to play the game.

These are the minimum and recommended system requirements you need for Resident Evil 2 Remake:

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: WINDOWS® 7, 8.1, 10 (64-BIT Required)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4460 or AMD FX™-6300 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 760 or AMD Radeon™ R7 260x with 2GB Video RAM
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 26 GB available space

As far as we know, though, Resident Evil 2 Remake isn’t Multiplayer. The steam page says that the game will be Singleplayer only. A number of Resident Evil 2 Remake Digital Deluxe skins will also be available to people who buy the Digital Deluxe edition:
