Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players who have been waiting for a reason to get back in the game should be excited as Ubisoft has now revealed new things coming to the game in January update. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey January update includes paid DLC second Episode, free DLC, a new enemy, rewards and more.
It’s confirmed that there will be no new Assassin’s Creed game in 2019 so Ubisoft is bringing in new content for the players of their recently released game. This new update of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey brings the second episode of the first Legacy of the First Blade DLC, Shadow Heritage.
Ubisoft describes Shadow Heritage DLC episode as:
Continuing the story arc from the first episode, Hunted, in the second instalment you get to investigate a blockade initiated by the Order of the Ancients around the port city in Achaia. You’ll discover a group of stranded citizens whose lives are being threatened by a fierce naval commander, the Tempest, who is in charge of the blockade.
Steal the Tempest’s top secret weapon, help the citizens escape, and destroy the blockade once and for all…with your ship! An epic maritime battle awaits you at the Aegean Sea.
Shadow Heritage DLC episode will arrive on January 15. To play it, you will have to play the first episode, Hunted, complete the Naxos questline in Chapter 7 from the main story. You are also required to have at least level 28.
Next we have is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Lost Tales of Greece DLC which is free for everyone. Lost Tales of Greece DLC brings the story of “Daughters of Lalaia”. Daughters of Lalaia requires you “to go to a village where the men have left for battle, leaving the townspeople and their children defenseless. Responding to their request, you’ll train them to prepare for incoming danger”.
To have access to Daughters of Lalaia, you have to travel to Phokis Region and after Chapter 5 from the main story. You are required to have at least level 13 to start the first quest which is called “A Gathering Storm”.
Another part of this Tales of Greece DLC content is “Poet’s Legacy”. This involves you meeting the “Greece’s most scandalous poet”. For this, you are required to have level 34. The first quest is called Praxilla’s Admirer.
There’s also a new Cyclops called legendary Cyclops which Ubisoft is calling as the bright one. You have to take down this beast in order to get his legendary weapon called “the Hammer of Hephaistos”.
Ubisoft is also bringing the new weapon scaling system in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with this new update. You can choose the one which suits you the most. It’ll be available on January 10 and can be found from the options menu. These new settings are as follows.
- Heavy – All enemies remain at your level.
- Normal – No change in the difficulty settings.
- Light – Content is around two levels below your level.
- Very Light – Content is around four levels below your level.
Though these will not work when you are playing on the Nightmare Difficulty Mode. That won’t be an issue because obviously, you are asking for the hardest experience possible in Nightmare Difficulty Mode. You can read through official update by Ubisoft to learn more!
