Capcom’s Monster Hunter World isn’t unfamiliar to crossovers. We’ve already seen them host one with Horizon Zero Dawn which featured attaining Alloy’s bow and armor. There’s also an upcoming crossover with the Witcher 3 that features the appearance of Geralt of Rivia. The latest addition to this trend is a Monster Hunter World Assassin’s Creed crossover event.
The limited time event is currently only available to consoles and is set to come to PC sometime unannounced. The crossover features combat with the faster and more agile monster in a crossover side quest to earn Senu’s feather. An item that players of Origins will find familiar.
Completion of the quest and attaining Senu’s feather rewards players with both Bayek’s armor as well as an Assassin Hood. Bayek’s armor being layered as well, meaning it can be equipped over any set of armor. So players don’t have to worry about stats and attributes being affected.
The Assassin’s hood adds a buff to player damage when attacking monsters out of stealth. Sort of a critical attack bonus to start off any monster fight with an inherent advantage off the get-go.
Assassin’s Creed Origins featured the story of Bayek in ancient Egypt, founding the Assassin order itself and featuring a good bit of time travel and other similar elements.
Whether this event will have any plot relevance regarding the Monster Hunter World Assassin’s Creed crossover is unknown. Currently, it only features a few gameplay changes regarding the speed of monsters as well as a few bonus items and attires.
The assassin’s hood itself is also a nice aesthetic piece due to its flowing cape nature so that’s a bonus of completing the quest. The event is, however, limited time. So get to killing those speedy boys.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Monster Hunter World is currently 34% off on Steam due to the winter sale. This means it went from $59 to $39 dollars. The sale only lasts for another three days so if someone on PC was planning to purchase Monster Hunter, now’s a good time.
