Fallout 76 hasn’t been doing really well since launch and Bethesda do know that it has to work really hard to keep the players interested in the game. This time Bethesda has shared its Fallout 76 plans for 2019 and by the looks of it, things are going to get interesting.
Before we discuss the Fallout 76 updates for 2019, Bethesda has now released their last update of the game before the developers go on holidays.
This new Fallout 76 update is a hotfix and it’s very small in size. This new Fallout 76 update arrived on December 19 and it’s only available for PC. This new Fallout 76 update doesn’t require an install on Xbox One and PS4 but you will have to download it on PC. This new update fixes the PC-specific bug that resulted in a game crash.
As for 2019 goes for Fallout 76, Bethesda has shared that they will be releasing a new update in January. This Fallout 76 update in January fixes lever-action rifle reload animation, perk cards and a fix for duplicating robots. Bethesda also mentioned that the upcoming patch notes will come with developer notes to tell you why they made certain changes.
Our sights are set for future updates. In mid-January, we will be releasing another patch that contains many fixes, including fixes for the Lever-Action Rifle reload animation, some perk cards, and we’re dealing some crowd control at the Whitespring by implementing a fix for the robots duplicating on the resort grounds. Full patch notes will be available at a later date that covers all the fixes featured in this update.
Bethesda then also confirmed that they are working on a new PVP mode for Fallout 76. The PVP mode will come without any restrictions. This new PVP mode in Fallout 76 will roll out in early 2019.

Stability and performance
- PC: Addressed an issue that could cause the game client to crash after selecting Exit to Desktop.
- PC: Fixed a setting that was left in a debug state. This could allow out of date clients to connect, breaking gameplay.
General bug fixes
- Exploit: Addressed an exploit that could allow items to be duplicated.
Combat bug fixes
- Weapons: Addressed an issue that could prevent high-damage and explosive weapons from dealing damage to enemies, or cause enemies to heal immediately after taking damage.
Despite having fewer sales than it’s predecessors, Fallout 76 still managed to end up among top 5 games on the charts for a most digital sales on consoles for November 2018.
Fallout 76 is now available to play on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
