Final Fantasy 7 Remake Gameplay Demo Teased For 2019

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was announced back in 2015 and since then Square Enix hasn’t revealed what’s up with it. However, it seems like we are finally getting some Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay demos in 2019.

Both game director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase have teased Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay demos for 2019. It’s a tradition in Japan that at the end of the year, developers comment on what they are looking forward to in the next year.

Both Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase teased Final Fantasy 7 remake gameplay demos for the next year.

However, Tetsuya Nomura used the word presentations, indicating that these might be internal or behind the closed doors Final Fantasy 7 remake gameplay demos.

This also indicates that Square Enix is ready to reveal Final Fantasy 7 remake release date. I am hopeful that the remake will launch next year.

Speaking of the game, Tetsuya Nomura has also hinted at a Final Fantasy 7 Remake compilation. The compilation would include spinoffs like Crisis Core and Advent Children movie.

He added that while he has discussed the idea but, the team is yet to decide if they will actually do a Final Fantasy 7 Remake compilation.

I’m thinking about ideas regarding the remake’s release—I even spoke to producer Kitase about it today. All of us old-timers are considering various developments in regards to what accompanies the remake. Like if we can manage to do something about the Compilation [of Final Fantasy VII] titles too. But for the time being, please wait for VII‘s turn to come.

While we wait for Square Enix to announce the FF7 Remake release date but, it will be a while before that happens as the game is not in active development.

According to the director, he is focusing on Kingdom Hearts 3 and when he is done with the game he will start working on Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Kingdom Hearts 3 is over a month away from launch. This means we are still years away before Final Fantasy 7 remake launches.

According to rumors, the remake will be episodic and the first Final Fantasy 7 remake episode will release by the end of 2019. Not only that, the leak suggests that the first episode will end at the Tiny Bronco theft.

With the game allegedly not in active development, it would be wise to release the game as episodes. This would allow the devs to complete the first episode in less time compared to the whole game.

Final Fantasy 7 remake is an action-adventure game in development at Square Enix. The game was announced as a PS4 exclusive and no release date has been revealed.
