Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of all time but unfortunately, we still don’t know about its release date. But according to a Polish analyst, Cyberpunk 2077 release date is going be sometime in Q4 of 2019.
This Cyberpunk 2077 release date comes through a report by a Polish Analyst firm StockWatch. That’s not it as Vestor Dom Maklerski also estimates the total number of sales that Cyberpunk 2077 will bring. He writes that Cyberpunk 2077 will sell 19 million copies in Q4 alone and that’s a huge number. You can read the report below as translated by a Reddit user.
Cyberpunk 2077 vs RDR2: We’re keeping to the estimation of a debut in Q4 of 2019, with sales of 19 million copies in Q4 alone, and income of 1.9 billion PLN (about 525 million USD). During a conference call, the Board has confirmed that quality remains the absolute highest priority for CD Projekt, and Cyberpunk 2077 will be no less elaborate and polished than RDR2. For comparison, the sales of RDR2 (gross) was 725 million USD within the first three days after it shipped, 15 million copies within the first eight days, and 17 million copies within the first twelve days (data from Take Two). The game was released only on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. With that in mind, our forecasts for CP2077 seem very reserved – remember the game will be simultaneously both on the consoles [PS4 and XBO] and PC. We also believe that the world of Cyberpunk / sci-fi should be more popular among gamers than the Wild West.
Do take the release date and sales of Cyberpunk 2077 with a grain of salt. The total number of Cyberpunk 2077 sales is an estimate and it’s something the analysts do all the time. We can take nothing as a confirmation until CD Projekt Red announces it.
Though this release date coming from Polish analysts does give us hope that it could turn out to be really true. Previously, Polish developers confirmed us that Cyberpunk 2077 was playable in August. Though the game was indeed in need of polishing and fixes. This expected release date is a year and a half later which is when we expect the game to be ready by CD Projekt Red and ready to be played by everyone.
In case you don’t know, Q4 of the fiscal year 2019 is different from calendar years. Q4 of the fiscal year 2019 will end in March of 2020 which means that Cyberpunk 2077 can release in the early months of 2020. Now, this period of time seems very ideal for the release.
We have seen big releases in 2018 before March. God of War released in Q4 of 2017. It’s the game which recently won the game of the year award.
We clearly don’t know about any game that could compete with Cyberpunk 2077. We also know that there will be no new Assassin’s Creed game by Ubisoft next year and also nothing from Rockstar as they have just released RDR 2 so it’s a clean way for CD Projekt Red to please the fans.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been now also added to the list of Xbox One X enhanced games and is now in development. This also hints us that we might be finally closer to the reveal of its release date.
