Red Dead Redemption 2 Update Focuses On Main Game Stability And Bug Fixes

Rockstar has recently released a Red Dead Redemption 2 update who’s purpose is fixing up any glitch and stability issues in the main game. The patch notes as such were very brief and straight to the point.

  • General improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits.

That’s about all that was on the Rockstar website. Although yes, it is straight to the point. Maybe there should’ve been a bit more elaboration on what exactly needed fixing in the first place.

The glitches included launch errors. Such as never leaving the initial loading screens. Another Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch was corrupted save files. Nothing’s more frustrating than losing all your progress in a time consuming single player game to a glitch.

A few minor glitches in the game included some weird clipping errors and other overlooked graphical oopsies every now and then. This update serves to smoothen out and fix all these issues. Nobody wants an ill-timed Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch.

No doubt that the rest of Rockstar’s time and effort is going into the maintenance of the Red Dead Online beta. Which is focused on balancing the in-game economy.

Red Dead Online’s release date remains unconfirmed. The fact that it’s still in its beta further reinforces that it’s a work in progress. So we can’t be certain when Red Dead Online’s beta will turn gold.

What we do know is that there’s a good bit of tweaking left. Since the Red Dead Online prices are outrageous to most. Especially those who played RDR 2 itself. Where the same items are much cheaper.

Game modes are also being added as we speak.  Such as the recent Gun rush as well as the showdown series and multiple others. Taking notes from how GTA Online’s functionality worked before.
