New Battlefield 5 Update Brings Stability, Balance Changes and More

New Battlefield 5 server side update has arrived. This new update improves stability, removes bugs and brings balance changes.

DICE has released a brand new Battlefield 5 update today to fix some of the bugs in the game. This Battlefield 5 update is server-side one update. And its patch notes have been now revealed.

This new Battlefield 5 update being server side means that you will not have to download a patch on your systems. The next time you play Battlefield 5, these changes will be already implemented, thanks to the patch.

The server-side patch in Battlefield 5 consists of general stability improvements, bug fixes, and balance changes. These balances changes are to make sure that there are equal members in each team. This Battlefield 5 patch also fixes the annoying bug which stopped you from acquiring a weapon even after reaching the rank requirements.

Check out the full patch notes for this new Battlefield 5 update below.

  • Fixed an issue where weapons would stay locked even though the rank requirement had been achieved.
  • Fixed an issue which could result in players getting disconnected when attempting to join a server.
  • Daily assignments that have been completed previously can now be completed again if the player would get it again on a separate day.
  • Improvements to the team balance at the start of rounds. Teams should no longer have a larger uneven number of players.
  • Several stability improvements for the server.

DICE then also mentioned that they are working on an update which will go live alongside Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture, which is due on December 4. Battlefield V Tides of War is described as an “evolving journey featuring a new narrative every few months.”

Upcoming chapters of Battlefield V Tides of War are going to bring a unique gameplay experience. These will also bring a new set of visuals, soldiers, storylines and more to the game.

In other news, players have reported that the characters in the game die very quickly. Players don’t get the chance to hide or counter fight. Players have been complaining and requesting DICE to bring some changes. DICE is aware of these issues and they say that changes of time to kill and time to death will be coming soon.

After playing games like Black Ops 4, players will definitely notice that the killing time should be increased. But in Black Ops 4, there’s a new healing mechanic which allows you to heal and gain 150% health without any wait.

As for DICE, they’ll have to look and investigate on both sides to confirm if it’s unbalanced. So expect a new patch to arrive in Battlefield 5 in the future to address these issues.

Battlefield 5 is also the first game to support Nvidia RTX real-time ray tracing on PC. It was expected to be a major change but hasn’t turned out to work well yet. Though DICE and Nvidia have acknowledged all the issues and they are going to address and fix them soon.

Last week we received our first Battlefield 5 update which was rather very small. The first update addressed the issues of some high-end graphics card and brought some changes in the game’s Airborne mode.

Battlefield 5 is now available to play on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
