Pokemon Let’s Go Dratini Location Guide – How to Catch, Dragonite Evolution

Are you looking find, catch and evolve Dratini in Pokemon Let's Go? We have just the guide for you.

Dragonite is considered one of the strongest Pokemon currently in the game. However, in order to evolve into a Dragonite, you are first going to need Dratini. Dratini in itself is an extremely rare Pokemon so our Pokemon Let’s Go Dratini Guide will be helping you in your quest to locate and capture Dratini.

Pokemon Let’s Go Dratini

For most trainers, it is best if they are able to get their hands on Dratini early since that will allow them to train it into a Dragonite. Dragonite is quite strong and the pseudo-legendary Pokemon can take on most Pokemon in the game quite easily.

The main problem with Dratini in the new Pokemon Let’s Go is the fact that it is not found in the same location that people of the classic Pokemon games may have expected.

Therefore, for all of the old as well as the new trainers currently making the rounds in Kanto, this guide can be incredibly beneficial as it can guide you on how to capture Dratini.

How to Catch Dratini

In Pokemon Let’s Go, Dratini can only be found on Route 10. However, you will not be able to catch Dratini simply by heading to the location and wandering around.

In order to catch Dratini, you are going to need to learn the Sea-Skim technique that will allow you to traverse waters. Sea-Skim is quite similar to the Surf technique that was in the previous Pokemon games.

Once you have learned the Sea Skim ability, you will be able to move to Cerulean City and then travel east until you are on Route 10. On Route 10, simply use your Lapras to travel up and down and you will run into a Dratini soon enough.

Dratini only has a 4% spawn rate now, so it is best if you sue Lure, Super Lure, or Max Lure to help you on your way.

These items can be sued to increase the spawn rates of rare Pokemon in the area, and they will save you a lot of time if you are only looking for Dratini on route 10.

If you want, you can also use the Catch Combo technique to increase your chances of running into Dratini. Catch Combos are performed by catching the same type of Pokemon repeatedly.

When you run into Dratini, the process of catching it is the same as it is for other Pokemon. Remember that you can also run into a Dragonair that has a spawn rate of 1%, so you might end up catching two rare Pokemon on Route 10 rather than one.
However, remember that you will need to beat the Elite Four and have access to the sky in order to catch the Dragonair.

Once you have Dratini, remember that it will evolve into a Dragonair at Level 30 and a Dragonite at Level 55. Try to catch Dratini as fast as you can so that you have ample time to turn it into a Dragonite and wreak havoc on all of your enemies.
