What Happened to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Moves Customization?

As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate release date is getting closer, the game will hit the market with its full roster. The game combines all the best characters from previous installments into a single package.

There is one feature that won’t be available in this version of the game however, the “custom moves.”

Wii U and 3DS version of Super Smash Bros released back in September 2014. In the Wii U and 3DS version of the game, players can earn different special moves for most of the characters while playing through different modes.

These special moves are different from the standard moves. But the thing is, players can tweak the special moves of their character to their liking. But it seems these customizations won’t be happening in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

GameSpot asked the developers if custom moves will return in this version of the game. One of the representatives of Nintendo Switch has confirmed that the feature is not part of this game.

Developers also talked about the other equipable items which are also earnable in Wii U and 3DS version of the game.

Likewise the custom moves, the devs also confirmed that equipable items were also excluded from Super Smash Bros Ultimate. However, there are also no trophies in the game.

Whit that being said, there is only one character whose moves you will be able to customize in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In the game, the only customizable characters are the Mii Fighters. As before, you can choose different options for each Mii Fighters class special attacks.

In addition, those who buy the game’s Fighter Pass will also receive a Mii Fighter costume.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s development has come to an end finally. The game will release on December 7th worldwide for Nintendo Switch only.
