Pokemon Let’s Go Moon Stones Locations Guide

Evolution is a part of every Pokemon’s journey and so is a significant event for every Trainer. In Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu for Nintendo Switch, you will need special Evolution Stones for the job and when it comes to the rarest Pokemon, you will need the rarest stones as well: Pokemon Let’s Go Moon Stones.

Pokemon Let’s Go Moon Stones Locations

Increasing the stats of a Pokemon to form more powerful and menacing versions of their original selves, requires an Evolution Stone. Although this works for almost the entire cast, there are some exceptions.

There are multiple variations of the evolution stone including Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, Water Stone, and Ice Stone. As of now, four Pokemon require a Moon Stone to evolve. They are listed below along with their evolved version:

  • Clefairy into Clefable
  • Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff
  • Nidorina into Nidoqueen
  • Nidorino into Nidoking

There are two ways of obtaining these Moon Stones. The first is to purchase them by heading to the fourth floor of the Department Store in Celadon City.

There, interact with the Wise Gifts and pay $5,000 to obtain a single Moon Stone. You can also purchase all other variations of the Evolution Stones, should you be able to afford it.

Scrounging Mount Moon

If you are saving up the money for something special or were always the miserly type, then you can avoid these extravagant costs of buying a Moon Stone. Simply head to the Mount Moon to find abundant resources of the Moon Stones.

This particular location lies between Pewter City and Cerulean City. Here, you can find the desired stones within crates riddled around the mountain, especially on the ground floor.

These stones are reset or respawned every day (real time) and the max you can farm is two per day.

Some things to note here, finding these stones become much easier when you have a companion Pokemon like Pikachu or Eevee.

It should also be noted that you do not get access to Mount Moon until you beat the first Gym Leader in the game. With that being said, happy hunting!
